To fête the opening of its new downtown flagship store, Barneys New York is joining forces with Christie's to launch the "Black Leather Jacket Auction" online. The iconic New York retailer tapped 23 designers and artists including Alexander Wang, Altuzarra, Givenchy, Isabel Marant and more to create one of a kind leather jackets for an online auction benefitting two worthy causes: The LGBT Center and White Columns.

But this isn't the first time Barneys New York has used fashion for a good—the new auction is mirrored after the store's 1986 Denim Jacket event where they auctioned off customized denim jackets designed by prominent designers and artists (including the likes of Andy Warhol, Yves Saint Laurent and more) to benefit an AIDS charity.
The one of a kind leather moto jackets will be available to bid on starting today through March 22 at christies.com/theleatherjacket with all proceeds being donated to The LGBT Center and White Columns.
