Here's what the royals were gifted on their wedding day

A yacht

Prince Rainer of Monaco and Princess Grace Kelly received a yacht called the Arion for their wedding from Aristotle Onassis in 1956. For many years Princess Grace would use it to entertain important guests on day long Mediterranean excursions. The yacht was purchased in 2006 by Quasar Expeditions.

A tennis court

To add the finishing touch to their summer home, the Danish municipality of Sonderborg gave the gift of a tennis court to crown Prince Frederick and Mary of Denmark.

An Indian bull

Harry and Meghan received arguably one of the most unique gifts from their wedding guests. Peta India adopted an Indian bull who was found weak and injured on behalf of the newlyweds. Peta India named him Merry (a hybrid of Harry and Meghan) and will spend the rest of his life relaxing in a peaceful sanctuary in Maharashtra, India.

Land Rover

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate did ask all their guests to make charitable donations in their name in terms of gifting. However, the pair got gifted a Land Rover, which they donated to a mountain rescue team. They held a draw at Clarence House and randomly selected the Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team to be the lucky recipients.

A wheel of cheese

In 1840, Queen Victoria and Prince Albert got gifted a 1,000-pound cheese wheel. The block of cheese weighed over 500 kilograms and was made from the milk of 750 cows. The queen accepted the present, but the farmers who made the cheese then asked for it to be exhibited. Sadly after the exhibit was over the Queen refused to take it back.
