The highly-anticipated sequel Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery has finally arrived on Netflix, with director Rian Johnson building another enticing case for the genius Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig having the most fun) to solve. For this round, Blanc joins a lavish murder-mystery party, hosted by genius tech mogul Miles Bron (Edward Norton) and attended by his group of frenemy sycophants called the Disruptors, played by a stacked cast including Kathryn Hahn, Dave Bautista, Leslie Odom, Jr.
The floor shook as a tap dancer jumped and spun on a raised platform. It was the only soundtrack that could be heard during the Puppets and Puppets show. And while it might have been an unusual approach for a runway show, it was — as fans of the emerging label would be happy to tell you — extremely on-brand.
Puppets and Puppets has swiftly become one of the New York fashion world's favorite new labels since it launched in 2019 as an art-project-meets-fashion platform.
“It’s like cooking. It either tastes good or it doesn’t.” That’s how Sophie De Rakoff describes costuming Reese Witherspoon—and she should know, having done the job for over 20 years, on numerous productions since and including 2001’s Legally Blonde. When you’ve been good at something for that long, an instinctual secondhand takes over. Fellow costume designer Debra McGuire had similar things to say about working with Jennifer Aniston over the last 30 years.

Veja Esplar Rubber-Trimmed Leather SneakersVeja was created with exemplary ideals, focusing on eco-friendly materials, social causes, and economic justice. Traceability is of utmost importance to the founders, and it begins with the farms the bovine leather comes from and extends to the tanneries and factories the shoes are produced in. Rubber sourced from the Amazon is used for the insoles and outsoles, while trims and detailing—such as organic cotton laces and recycled EVA—are the final touches.
Art is one of the few venues where unabashed displays of sexuality are explored, welcomed, and encouraged. And as satisfying as it is to embrace a cheeky late night feeling with a sultry R&B song, or a down-and-dirty pop track, there’s something to be said of actually seeing the interpretation of these feelings being played out by the artists we admire so much. So next time you’re in the mood to get a little saucy, feast your eyes on these music videos featuring your favorite artists taking off their shirts, thrusting their hips, and shaking a little something.
1The Amityville Horror (1979)Getty ImagesReportedly based on the real-life Lutz family’s abbreviated stint living at 112 Ocean Avenue, the site of a grisly mass murder in Long Island, New York, the horror film doesn’t have to be entirely accurate to scare the pants off its viewers with bleeding walls, the glow of a feral animal’s stare, and, of course, a previously doting-now possessed husband on a mission to murder his wife and children.
You can’t blame designers for getting experimental with jeans. “Denim is just a sturdy form of cotton, so it can be used in place of almost any other material,” Italist CEO Diego Abba says. Adventures in denim can start out somewhat tame, like the Givenchy, Valentino, and Chloé handbag handles that swap it in for leather. A few clicks away, the looks get wilder and weirder. Denim can coat a pair of Coperni platform clogs one minute, and be sliced into an exaggerated high-low micro miniskirt by Sami Miró the next.
