Selena Gomez Goes Blonde at the AMAs

Selena Gomez has just made her entrance at the 2017 American Music Awards, and she's already made a major statement with her hair. The singer, who is making a highly-anticipated performance of her new single, "Wolves," tonight, debuted a bold, blonde new 'do on the red carpet. It's a dramatic new look for the singer, after sticking to her signature chocolate locks for years, but we are loving this platinum upgrade.

Gomez flaunted the new look with a sexy, black leather ensemble by Coach, presumably a part of her ongoing partnership with the brand. (She premiered her first capsule collection with the label earlier this summer.) Tonight's outfit consists of a motorcycle jacket-inspired dress with star appliques, studded pumps, and a matching clutch.

Gomez's dress was designed by Coach's creative director, Stuart Vevers, and is a remix of the brand's signature motorcycle jacket. The look is an edgy departure from last year's glam, red gown, but it's just a testament of Selena's versatility on the red carpet.

This is a big night for Selena, as she's slated to make her first performance since her kidney transplant surgery. "Wolves" has a very strong personal significance for the singer; when she debuted the track, she hinted at how it reflects her emotional journey in the past year.

"The song is very beautiful and personal and just has a story of its own," Gomez said when she premiered the song last month. "It's mirrored everything."

We can't wait to see her rock her new blonde locks on stage.
